This is a good restaurant. First off, it is a Ma&Pop style place as I understand it. Small, way out comparatively? But well worth going to. Now, onwards. This is Authentic Chinese. For the most part. The problem is if you do not know what authentic Chinese is, it might be hard to know what to order. The Beef Lo Mein was a bit... eh. But that's something that is a bit more on the Americanized side of things, so may have colored my perceptions. Yet even with that in mind the portions are large. Not knowing what I was getting into, and honestly expecting a more super old school "Chop Suey" style place, I made a mistake ordering this. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't the best Lo Mein ever (Honestly, Check out Lucy's Northern Chinese for a good Chinese Noodle place in the area) Yet the Sesame Beef that I also ordered? It blew my mind. It was delicious. Even the presentation was like something right out of a Chinese Period Piece movie. I've been to China, and this was pretty darned authentic. So it definitely made me think of how. This was something I could have seen myself eating in China itself. Absolutely delicious. I will be ordering this again, and anything else on the menu that was appealing but not always at typical Chinese Joints. Prices were pretty good, too. That is another plus. And the Decor, while quiet, was good. It made for a nice 'hole in the wall' style atmosphere that makes it feel like you have found the best kept secret in town. The owners? Friendly as can be. I even got to practice my Chinese a bit! So in summation, find this place. It's on 13th, the North Side. And it is well worth going to.

PROS: Nice people. CONS: Dried out white rice. Bitter tasting shrimp and cashew nut. Canned soda. Wasted $40 on my wife, son and me.

Great kept secret in West Fargo. The best non-buffet Chinese restaurant in town. Friendly service, and great attention to each individual dish. The value compared to price is spot on. I would definitely ignore Joel G's comment.

I was drug here kidding and screaming! Figured there would be SOMEONE here at noon... Nope! Empty for a reason!! The water was gross - ordered a coke. Hot and sour soup smelled like dog food stew. Kung pao chicken... Don't even get me started... To top it off this horrid experience...? They don't take credit cards... Booooooo!! Just relieved that I didn't get sick from the little food I tasted....

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
